YOUR LIBRARY CARD:

Library cards are free to residents of Sangerville.  Summer residents are also eligible and encouraged to obtain cards.

Patrons are responsible for all materials checked out on their library card.  Parents are responsible for items checked out by their children.  Report loss or theft of your card promptly to protect yourself from unauthorized use of your card; you are responsible until loss is reported.  Report address or phone number changes immediately.

SIGN-OUT BOOKS, VIDEOS and DVDs:

Loan period for books is two weeks.  There is a fine of five cents per library day for overdue books.  Videos and DVDs can be kept out for three days, and a fine of fifty cents per day is imposed for each video or DVD that is returned late.  Please note that there is a one-dollar fee for videos that are returned without being rewound.

INTER-LIBRARY LOANS:

In the event we are unable to provide you with the publication you are searching for, we will seek to locate and procure it through another library.

PHOTOCOPY SERVICE:

The cost for photocopies is twenty-five cents per page.  Ample time must be allowed for multitudinous copies.

TELEPHONE RENEWALS:

Books may be renewed with a simple telephone call to the library at 876-3491.

TELEPHONE REFERENCE:

Telephone inquiries are answered as expeditiously as possible.  If the answer is not at our fingertips, we will endeavor to seek out the answer to your query and return your call.

INTERNET SERVICES:

The library currently offers several Internet stations for public use.  Any qualified patron of the library or summer visitor is eligible to obtain Internet priviledges.

An Internet Access Policy form must be completed by all users.  For patrons under the age of 18, the form must be completed by the parent or guardian.  Upon completion of the form, the patron's library card will be stamped "Internet" for unrestricted access, or "Restricted Internet" which indicates that a parent or guardian must be present to supervise the under-age patron.

LOST ITEMS:

The charge for lost or damaged materials is the replacement cost of the item.
